Acacia Water is active in Africa since the start of the company in 2003. Especially in Ethiopia, our portfolio has grown ever since, which led to the opening of a branch office in Addis Ababa in 2020! We are now locally represented in the area to support the enormous potential of Ethiopia in the areas of water resources mapping & management, water security and climate resilience.

On the Dutch island of Texel, farmers depend on rainwater only for their freshwater supply. In order to be able to irrigate crops during increasing periods of drought, farmers aim to be self-sufficient in their fresh water supply. Together with Broere Beregening B.V. Irrigation Systems, Van Leeuwen Sleufloze Technieken and Dros Grondverzet, Acacia Water researches, designs and implements a Managed Aquifer Recharge system!
Drone mapping in Ethiopia accomplished!
