This October, our colleague Anne van der Heijden was present in Khartoum (#sudan), at the stakeholder validation workshop of the #RWASH project together with our partner RICOS Consulting
In RWASH, led by CES Consulting Engineers Salzgitter GmbH, Acacia Water works on sustainable, conflict-sensitive,
climate-resilient and integrated water supply and sanitation services or refugees, IDPs and host communities together with RICOS Consulting.
Acacia Water is glad to have the opportunity to contribute to more sustainable water management in Sudan and aims for the highest postive impact possible.
In the workshop, technical discussions on the completed water resources assessment and feasibility studies in in Girba and Wad Sharifey took place. There were engaging reviews and contributions by the Host Communities Representatives, Kassala State Water Corporation (KSWC), Federal Government and State Government officials, DWSU, UNICEF Sudan – اليونيسف في السودان and UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency.
With support of KfW, UNICEF will implement the 'Regional Open Programme for Refugees and host community' in Sudan.
