The globally recognized "Managed Aquifer Recharge (MAR)" technique, in which water is stored underground, is gaining popularity in Bangladesh. Acacia Water has been working with Dhaka University on the MAR technique since 2009. In the project, new designs and policies are developed for wider application in Bangladesh.
