Acacia Water Ethiopia
Acacia Water is active in Africa since the start of the company in 2003. Especially in Ethiopia, our portfolio has grown ever since, which led to the opening of a branch office in Addis Ababa in 2020! We are now locally represented in the area to support the enormous potential of Ethiopia in the areas of water resources mapping & management, water security and climate resilience.
Last week, Acacia Water Ethiopia concluded its first local contract in assignment from Amref Health Africa UK in Ethiopia! Our CEO Arjen De Vries had the honour to put his signature during this happy moment.
Acacia Water will provide (shallow) groundwater mapping and IWRM services within the 4-year (2022 - 2026) Health-Nutrition-WASH Nexus program REACH in Borena and Jimma zones (both in Oromia Region, Ethiopia) implemented by EngenderHealth and Amref Health Africa , and which is financed by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (EKN) to Ethiopia.
