Zeeland, a Dutch Province, is prone to salinization of the groundwater. In a 2 year program ‘DeltaDrip’ Acacia Water investigated the extent to which water and nutrient savings can be achieved through innovative use of drip irrigation and fertigation, as an alternative to traditional irrigation techniques (including reel) and fertilization methods. The project is supported by the agricultural support program of the EU.
