About 1.3 million inhabitants of Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, are for their drinking water dependent on just two water reservoirs at approximately 40km from the city. The Baseline Survey conducted by Acacia Water shows that poor socioeconomic infrastructure has led to the depletion and pollution of natural resources, which in turn puts pressure on the availability and quality of water for Addis.
